Captain Wallace, as insinuated by his name, was the Captain of the trading ship Alexandria. After the ship was stranded in a cove, on the coastline of Japan, the ship was attacked by wakou, who slaughtered virtually the entire crew. Captain Wallace was most likely killed in the fighting, as the only known survivor of the attack was Jack Fletcher.
