Ginsel was a Dutch sailor and part of the crew of the Alexandria, which had set sail for the Japans from England.
Way of the Warrior
Ginsel has Jack Fletcher, an experienced rigging monkey, assist the crew with one of the sails when the ship is sinking. When the Alexandria is attacked by the wako, Ginsel is not seen until the very end, where he states he set alight explosives on the ship. He had been planning to take the wako and Jack along with him to death. He was killed by a guillotine wielding ninja.

- Ginsel, along with Christiaan, were the only known Dutch members of the Alexandria's crew.
