The Ring of Earth[]
Shiro was a ninja-in-training under Grandmaster Soke. He had a tendency to complain a lot, and had a longing to know about Samurai life from Jack upon his arrival.
Towards the end of the book it was revealed that he had betrayed the ninja clan to Damiyo Akechi in a bid to be free of the Way of the Ninja, which he hated. He, in turn, is betrayed by Akechi, and Gemnan kills him by slitting his throat.
